Police raid uncovers massive cannabis farm in Burnley property

Police have uncovered a massive cannabis farm in Burnley.

Far more than 300 plants had been extracted from 4 floors of an address situated in the town following Lancashire Constabulary received intelligence from neighbours.

The Burnley Neighbourhood Police Group, the Burnley Taskforce and Burnley Response all attended the address.

Officers have encouraged the public to report such criminal activity to them.

A police spokesperson mentioned: “Please report any suspicious activity as cannabis farms can be potentially really hazardous as on most occasions the electric has been tampered with.”

This follows the discovery of yet another illegal cannabis farm at Bankhall, Burnley on Tuesday, November 19.



The farm located on Leyland Road by police.

Burnley neighbourhood police, along with an quick response unit, came across a cannabis farm while attending to an insecure home on Leyland road in the town.

A massive quantity of cannabis was seized from the place along with a sum of money.
